Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this, BUT when a classic children's show starts to go mainstream or more "Adult," it bothers me! Apparently, this is nothing new for the 41 year old show. While abashed, a good friend (and mentor), told me that Sesame Street, has always incorporated socially relevant things and to remember, there parody's! Nothing for children to take heed too. Agreed, but I still don't think its appropriate, especially when the shows/commercials being referenced are for a PG and R audience. For Instance, the Old Spice commercials, those are a lil' off and creepy, to me not suit for a child. True Blood, a show that depicts violence, lust, deceit and sex is ok, for a show whose demographic is 6 and under? I DON'T THINK SO!
