Did We Forget???

Am I alone, when I feel that, no one is really acknowledging or conceding to the fact that this is BLACK HISTORY MONTH? I too, am at fault for not really remembering. After all, we all should be celebrating or doing something in remembrance of our Black History! PEOPLE, we have an African American President! With that said, I challenge all reading this, black, white, asian, etc. to go out and do something to change history. Whether it's sharing knowledge w/ a friend or doing something to help society, STAND UP, lets GO!!!

Keep Talking that Gibberish

Ryan Leslie has this song, off his recently released self-tittled album, called "Gibberish." The first time i heard the track, I wasn't thrilled, mainly because im soooooooooooooooooo tired of the auto tune shit! But I will admit, I did like the melody. Long story short, after seing this video, as seen below, I have a new found respect for both the song and Ryan Leslie. Also, if you haven't copped I suggest you do, its a really good R & B album.

I know this is going up a lil' late, but wed. night I went to a photo shoot for Floridian, Grammy nominated artist, Flo Rida, for INK magazine. Flo is madd chill and crazy humble, the industry needs more of that. Not sure which issue it's for, but it should be out before June. After the shoot we made way over to the Studio, where I got to chill with Wyclef for a little, who by the way is super duper Haitian, but a cool nigga none the less. Didn't want to take pictures in the studio, mainly because I ain't wanna look like a groupie. All in all, It was a decent night.

BIG UPS TO JOE* and BANGA!!! aye JOEY THANKS FOR HOLDING ME DOWN!!!

Nypical Tigga 101

Seems like EVERYONE has a blog now a days and seems like everyone is a hipster, out trynna think act different, dress different, as seen above, but in actuality there not really that different, because they all dress the same, act the same, hang out in the same places and do the same shit! So in reality there all followers jumping from the one band wagon to the next, until the next "cool" thing emerges. I find it hilarious, mainly because no one has a mind of their own anymore, or for the most part, trying to make a LANE for themselves, there all just following suit. For instance, every hypebeast dude or Nypical Tigga, as I so cleverly like to put it, has a fashion blog, or is a fashion designer, or considers themselves to be a fashionista(keffiyeh scarfs DO NOT MAKE YOU A FASHIONISTA...and by the way am I the only one that finds it a lil' weird when a dude calls hiimself that considering the feminine under tone of the word) & every chick swears there from the 80s/early 90s w/ the bamboo earings, acid wash jeans and Louis Speedy smh; half of yall still got milk on your breath and proably weren't born yet. What happen to ppl blogging and talking about THERE LIFE as is (going to school, trynna go pro w/ ball, wanting to be a doctor, etc. if you ask me that would be alot more interesting then all these bullshit mundane "hipster" blogs!)

So Sad.

The demise of a once, trendy and true streetwear brand, that has successfully bridged the gap between underground streetwear & style has begun! Crooks & Castles, one of my favorite street brands is, to me, slowly on a steady decline. Their profits are great, people are becoming aware of the "Crooks" movement, so for many of you, your proably like wtf am I talking about. Im talking about how accesable it's become. I knew it was coming, but I didn't know it was going to be so soon. smh.

Example: So this morning when on the train on my way to work, I came across something that truly pissed me off. Some random nigga had on a bedazzled Ed Hardy T-shirt, with jeans to match with a fucking CROOKS and CASTLES hoodie over it. I'm not one to knock no ones personal style and im in no way making fun of ol' boy (I encourage self-expression), but it just solidified my views on how I felt. smh

WHEN WILL IT STOP???

Back...

from hiatus a friend of mine decided to come back to the, very saturated and over populated, blog-sphere, but this time with a new and improved look. Check her out here

51st Annual Grammy Awards

51st annual post-Grammy recap. Another year, another award show, another year of deserving artist jipped of awards.

This year, I decided to make my recap a lil' different. As opposed to the typical summary, Im going to do 10 question, I asked myself, while watching tonight's broadcast, that Im pretty sure you asked yourself as well!

10. Was Jennifer Hudson's award tonight won on merit, or off of her tragic lost late last year?

9. Was I the only one who felt bad for Justin Timberlake, when he made that dry as joke about the general store back in Nashville?

8. Respect him to death, but am I the only one who thinks KanYe's mullet is a lil' ridiculious?

7. When performing "American Boy," why did KanYe & Estelle look like Elroy and Jane Jetson?

6. Where was Beyonce' tonight?

5. Really Paul McCartney. Am I the only one who thought he was jacking Lil' Richard, with the random belts of "wooooooooo"?

4.Wasn't the rat pac's performance of "Swagga Like Us" timeless?

3. Was I the only one who thought that MIA's outfit, when performing was a lil' "Prego Passa Passa"?

2. Was I the only one who thought Diddy was a lil' bitter about not performing tonight, hence his super-casual outfit?

1. Did Chris really stike Rih Rih, causing that much damage to her face to make her miss tonight's ceremonies?

No Words. Just End it!

Aight, So this whole 50 Cent- Rick Ross Beef, is a lil' annoying and in some regards a lil' unnecessary. I'm not gonna bullshit you though, a lot of it is very hilarious, but in the end, unecessary.
I've given 50 the tittle of being the Grimm Reaper of the music industry, because when he comes for you...its over! (i.e. Buck, Cam'Ron, Ja Rule & a slew of others). Some may question my statement and say, well if that's the case, how was KanYe able to survive? Did he escape final Destination? Truth of the matter is, there was no beef between those two. It was just friendly competition.
I'm not gonna go on anymore, by now, everyone reading this should already be familiar w/ the 50 Cent & Ross beef. With that said, enough is enough...time to get out GOOD MUSIC!
Here's Rick Ross' street single "Mafia Music" off his forthcoming 3rd studio album, "Deeper Than Rap" slated for release this March.
