Recently, I took a trip over to the CAVI showroom and got to sit down with the creator & founder and talk to him about CAVI, and everything that is CAVI. Coincidentally, he graduated from my school, but speaking to him about how CAVI came about, from inception to the present, was really inspiring and in some aspects motivating. While there I got to preview the SPRING/SUMMER 08' line, which is the hottest shit I've seen in a long time, NO G. Its original, its fresh, its CAVI!

Ogilvy, international, PR company that we share the bulding with had 6,500 plastic bottles on display, to show how much oil it takes to fill 7 barrels. The adveristement, essentially, is to get companies, as well as consumers to recylce. Nice way to Grab your attention right?

THE BIG DAY !

Today, despite the rain, is the 4th of April and also the "alleged" wedding day for international icons Jay-Z and Beyonce'. They say they chose this day, because Jays birthday is 12/4 & Bey's is 9/4. Its also alleged that Hovito, was partying it up, which can be interpeted by most as a bachelor party, last night in Toronto. Reports say that the wedding is to take place in NYC and guests attending are to wear ivory. Good Shit!

"Can I Live"...na foreal, can I?

It alleged that Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter (I think I'll make reference to him using his gov't, just this time...lol) is expected to sign a 10 year deal, $150 million dollar 360 deal with Live Nation, that will include Roc Nation, a new entertainment venture for the rapper(could this be the new Roc a Fella?). If reports are true and the deal does go through Live Nation will handle all aspects of Jays entertainment, recording, tours and endorsement deals. They say he'll also receive an upfront payment of $25 mil., a general advance of $25 mil. and an advance payment of $10 mil. per album, for at least three albums. So basicaly your looking at $50 mil. upfront and $60 mil. If he puts out an album this year. He'll also receive royalties totaling about $20 mil. for publishing, licensing and the rights to other endeavors produced by Roc Nation and another $25 mil. to target investments or acquisitions. Live Nation will also provided $5 mil a year to Roc Nation to support the new company’s overhead for the next five years.
